Born in the U.K., raised and educated in Canada, and later a resident of Hong Kong, Steve Burrows became a freelance travel writer and contributing editor to Asian Geographic. His Birder Mystery series began with A siege of Bitterns, published in 2014, which won the Crime Writers of Canada Award for first Best Novel . His seventh book in the series, A Foreboding of Petrels was published last fall.
