Anyone living in this area will have noticed that there is a large and prominent presence of persons of Dutch heritage residing here. An immigrant from the Netherlands himself, Myno offers a personal take on why so many persons emigrated to Canada from the Netherlands to Clarington following the Second World War.
Myno Van Dyke is a well known figure in Clarington. A retired police detective, he has spoken to us previously about a murder case and investigation in Clarington many years ago. An accomplished local historian and speaker, he has earned various honours for his work in that field and in the community at large
